On the morning of Grants birthday we woke up to the fire truck at our neighbors house. No emergency, just changing batteries in their smoke detectors. Grant had so much fun sitting on the porch watching them come and go. When they were finished they invited Grant to come explore on the fire truck. He was so shy that he didn't want anything to do with it. He just stayed in my arms. Well the firemen told us that if he changed his mind we could just come down to the fire station later. When Seth and Evan got home from school thats just what we did. But when we got there they got a call to head out. So we sat and watched them leave. Then after Mike got off work we all headed back over together. They gave us the full tour of everything. We got to see their living area and kitchen, their work out area, and the fire truck. The kids got to put on the helmet, and sit in the drivers seat. They showed them the jaws of life, and all the saws and axes that they work with. Grant was bored after 5 minutes, but the rest of us thought it was fascinating!
