Our next stop was Xunantunich, some more Mayan ruins. We took a little crank ferry across a
river (where we saw some wild Iguanas).
There was a HUGE structure that we climbed to the top of. You could literally see all over the
valley. There were some guards on
the top that even pointed out the Guatemala border. This country is so beautiful.
We had a quiet dinner at Ko-ox-Han-Nah. They call it Hannahs. I guess it means “Lets go eat”. We are having fun experiencing all of
Granny and Grandpas favorite places to eat. We will have another relaxing day tomorrow.
tiny bananas from a local market, and Breakfast at Marthas
we thought this sign was funny
Another funny sign. Were they trying to imitate the "Hyatt"?
Playing around while we waited for Grandpa at the church. Seth decided to climb the water tower while we all took a nap. It was SOOOO hot!
At the iguana exhibit. He showed us a nest of 2 just hatched humming birds. It was so sweet!
This one was pregnant!
Seth got close to kiss this iguana and you can see in the next photo that it whipped him with its tail. It nearly fell out of his hand but caught on at the last second!
The hand crank ferry over to Xunatunich.
We ate our tiny bananas as a snack
Granny stayed at the bottom and took pictures of us hiking up
Seth and Mike with the security guards at the top
