The best thing about summertime is BBQ's with the people you love and homemade ice cream! For Memorial Day we invited John and Denine and their family over for just that. It was so fun. Besides my fiasco making the homemade ice cream. Mom just told me to add this and that until it became the right consistency and flavor. Well we all didn't realize that the sweetener was falling to the bottom and despite all our mixing it was not mixing in. So it wasn't tasting sweet AT ALL. So I kept adding more and more agave syrup and honey. WOW! When we finally realized that it just wasn't mixing up it was SOOOOOOO sweet. We joked that it is the new "agave" flavored ice cream. Everyone kept telling me it was still so good, but I couldn't even finish a cup. Grant sure enjoyed it!
